I broke my front tooth from a facial impact so unexpectedly needed a rush dental appointment for exray and to fix the tooth. My own dentist had no appointments for a few days and I didn't want to wait. It was in the afternoon and after calling a few places no luck, Presidio Dental agreed to take me after their last scheduled appointment of the day. Dr. Karamyan went out of his way for a new patient, and the office staff were friendly and very helpful billing my insurance and setting up the followup appointment to fix the chip. My smile looks beautiful again! All in all a great experience and I would definitely recommend Presidio dental and Dr. Karamyan.

I've been visiting Presidio Dental for about four years. They are HONEST DENTISTS! They have never tried to do unnecessary work. I previously had dentists and have heard of so many horror stories from friends who have had dentists that try to tell you that you have cavities when you don't. A good dentist is like a good mechanic, you never want to leave. PLUS the owner of this company, the head dentist, is on top of current technology and can provide a crown on the same visit! You do not need to visit multiple times and have a temporary crown put in. I highly recommend this group.

I had a serious phobia of going to the dentist and avoided it as much as I can. After reading this practices' reviews, I finally convinced myself to make an appointment. Dr. Kenneth is extremely knowledgeable, he caters to your needs, communicates the dental plan with you, and has this special touch with his patients. I'm telling you, I have NEVER felt so calm and safe at a dental practice as I had with Dr. K and staff. YOU are their priority and you can definitely feel it in this practice. Booking an appointment is very easy and the staff will go above and beyond to work with you and fit you in their busy schedule. I have absolutely zero complaints, I love love love this place. Dr. K is my dentist for life!!!! Oh and they have the best & latest dental technology! They make your crown in the office and it takes less than an hour! It's so cool and extremely convenient. Sad to have to write this really. The people here are lovely, and they have some very modern equipment. I came here not having insurance and they were very accommodating, offering me their discounted deal which I thought was very kind. I was told I needed work done on 3 teeth, which sounded like a lot, but trusting the doctor I went ahead and he did it, to the cost of I think about $1,700 a tooth. So you can imagine my dismay when 12 months later, I'm having a checkup at my new dentist, now under an insurance plan, and he shows me all 3 teeth have gaps between the crown/ filling and the tooth, and it's lead to cavities on all 3 - meaning all 3 need to be replaced... I've spent the last few months going through having the crowns/fillings broken off (not fun), the cavity worked on, and then a new crown being applied. Each tooth again I have to pay for of course. Now the really sad part of this, was how Presidio Dental dealt with it, or didn't really. This new dentist said normally someone would stand by their work, and if there was a problem like this, fix it. So I reached out to the dental office, and they initially replied saying they would show the doctor what I'd said and get back to me. A while later after hearing nothing, I followed up, and got no reply this time. So I've had to go ahead and get the work done, pay for it all once more, and still nothing. I've now written again, but heard nothing, and don't expect to anymore (unless they read this review perhaps). So I'm beginning to feel like I'm not the first person to come back to them, if they are just ignoring my emails. Summarizing, really nice people, really nice equipment, but I can't argue with the fact that all the work had to be re-done with 12 months at great cost. I could get it as a fluke if it was just one tooth, but all three?... Then there was no accountability from the dental office - so I'm sorry to say, I encourage you to go elsewhere.

Fabulous experience, and for me the best dentist. My sister, her husband, my husband and nephew are all dentists, but based in NYC so I searched for the best I could find in the Bay Area. Dr Karamyan is the best, period. I had an emergency during COVID. Tooth had a root canal, and cracked. He saved the tooth (with a cavity to boot) and 3D printed a crown in less than 20 minutes that fit first time in. For me, his personal touch, commitment to perfection, and patient first is one in a million. Going back in June for deep cleaning and professional whitening all of which he has done before. Highest praises for this practice! The receptionist, the hygienist and the dentist himself were all fantastic and were so professional in dealing with my ridiculous antics revolving around teeth whitening (I was petrified of the pain and was a nightmare to deal with). The results are PHENOMENAL! The pain involved.. well.. we all know that teeth whitening can cause significant tooth sensitivity (some people get it, some don't..) Enter at your own risk on that front. But if you decide to do it, you're doing it in the right place and your teeth will be stunningly, sparklingly gorgeously white:)) A huge thank you to Presidio Dental and their patience with me:)

I went to Dr. Kenneth Karamyan for the first time about 3 years ago for Invisalign. He was very patient, informative and educational in setting my expectations and helping me understand what would happen over the next 18-24 months. He stays on top of the latest and greatest and has the top of the line equipment to monitor and track your progress. I followed the process for about 12 months and saw phenomenal improvement... but then I got lazy and stopped following the program. As a result, I stupidly delayed my teeth alignment. I finally resumed again about 3 months ago and Dr. Karamyan was, again, so patient in getting me back on track and now I'm adhering to the rules. I have started to see the improvement that I wanted so badly. I love my smile now but still have a few more months to finish. This time I'll listen and follow the rules.

I was in need for a cleaning and checkup so I called Presidio Dental to see if they take my insurance. Without any issues or inconvenience, the front desk took care of handling my insurance information and making sure I was covered for my visit as well as the procedures I came in for. Dr. Karamyan introduced himself to me and was very detailed with what the next step would be for my treatment. He printed a treatment plan that specified the cost out of pocket as well as what insurance covers. This office is very organized in that way and I appreciate his time, effort and skills.

They are friendly, no doubt about that. The consultation for invisalign was $50 and the quote they offered was $7,000, with insurance $5,000. I never went back because I have found a better alternative - "Smile Direct Club." Honestly, do you really want to pay a high price just to have someone put the invisalign in your mouth when that's something you can easily do on your own. Smile Direct Club starting price is just $1,850. They offer the at-home impression kit for $95. When treatment is finish, retainers are only $99. Best of yet, my insurance covers 75% of the cost. Woohoo to that!

First off, I don't really feel like posting any photos of my teeth so this will remain a photoless post. 😉 I discovered Dr. Kenneth Karamyan & Presidio Dental through Yelp as it's the closest dental practice from my house and I'm all about convenience. That being said, picking a good dentist is key and it shouldn't matter how near/far one should drive to get top notch dental work. I went in last month for a routine cleaning and invisalign consultation and was super impressed with Dr. Kenneth Karamyan. The appointment started on time, everyone was friendly and he has a nice calm demeanor. He's super focused on having top notch technology to assist with all things dental. I have to have a crown replaced sometime this year due to a previous dentist mess up and he has a machine that will print one out while I wait in the chair. Unreal. I wouldn't say I'm ever looking forward to going to the dentist but, at least I like Dr. Kenneth Karamyan because he has my best interests in mind.

I found Presidio Dental as I was looking for a dentist close to my house. That was 2 years ago and every time I go to Presidio I am so happy I found them. Dr. K is an expert in his field and explains the how and why of any procedure. His demeanor is friendly yet professional. I always feel confident and at ease when I am in the dentist chair. Staff is always friendly and accommodating to schedule changes or cancellations. The office has a relaxed and homey atmosphere. Very unlike the "dental factory" I used to visit in downtown SF with hordes of people and overworked staff. Though the office is in the Marina/Presidio area, the parking is not too difficult. I've always been able to find street parking within a block's distance. Definitely recommend Dr. K if you are looking for a dentist for general dentistry work or cosmetic procedures.

Well, Dr Kenneth Karamyan made all my fears disappear today. He was patient & very attentive to my fear of needles. I know that many pple just like I don't like the shots in their mouth. Well, I promise you that you will not feel a thing. I did not even feel a thing. Dr Karamayan was very patient & attentive to listening listening to your dental complaints & fears. Also, I have realized when I came in expecting not to have any procedure done @ this appointment & expecting to re-schedule for another day for a procedure, that his office is equipped to make the molds for the crowns. He has this incredible Dental 3D technology to make the molds right there in the office. I would love to keep writing about my wonderful experiences @my dental appointment. But long story short, I would highly recommend to all my family & friends to see Dr Karamyan, if they need dental work. Oh Yes, I should also tell to you, that I don't know how your experiences must be w/ Dental offices, re: hidden costs & fees, but Dr. Karamayan office assistant made sure to make me comfortable & answered to all of my questions when I asked, at the time when I was making this appointment to see him. And, I was re-assured that there would be no hidden fees & unforeseen dental costs. I this this is definitely a very important topic when choosing a dentist. Dr. Karamyon is an excellent dentist. I went to him when I moved to San Francisco last year. He took exrays and made a plan to handle the problems he saw. I am happy with his treatment. I removed one star because I went with my sister the first time. He was working on my teeth, and forgot her in the dental chair. No one checked on her, offered an explanation of how long he would be, or even offered her a drink of water for 3 hours! Needless to say, she will never return.

I went to presidio dental for an orthodontic consultation after seeing their deal on Groupon. I called and they said they offer the same deal through the office so you can finance it. The office is clean and the people are nice, the receptionist is especially helpful. I found parking really easily outside (could have just been my timing). They seem to have all the fancy equipment. They also send you an email to fill out all the forms online before you get there so you don't have to sit there for an extra twenty minutes. Overall a good experience. Thank you Diane for your help!

I had a Great experience with Presidio Dental; this is a very clean modern environment with a friendly and efficient team. They even offer multiple payment options and they are very thorough with explaining their Treatment plans. Dr. Jesse Engle is kind, gentle and practical; he has a great business model with the professionalism and skills to back it up! It is clear that the front office manager Kacey loves her job as well as the dental assistant Melissa. They were professional, accommodating and courteous throughout my visit. I was so excited to share my experience with my wife; it’s awkward to admit that I look forward to going back to a dental office. I went to Presidio Dental for a root canal procedure a few days ago. I was treated by Dr. Kenneth and his colleague Dr. Emma. I have to say, I've been to many dentists in my 16 years living in the San Francisco area, including various clinics in the Richmond area, specifically Richmond Dental, and other places. The way Kenneth and the rest of his staff carry themselves far exceeded my expectations. This dentist is amazing. My entire procedure was absolutely pain free. Their clinic is well kept and clean, and possibly the best part is their state of the art equipment, which is new and must be expensive. They spared no expense for their clients, and that truly means a lot. I am one of those individuals who has a fear of dentists and dental procedures. Those fears disappeared about 10 minutes into my root canal, as I felt no pain, and was given goggles for eyewear to deal with the bright light. Again, their equipment is unlike any I've ever seen anywhere else. It must have cost them a fortune but it makes the world of difference when you are in the chair. I could go on, but I think I've made my point. Overall the procedure was well priced, totally painless, and ALL completed within only two visits. I've never in my life had a root canal be over this quickly and efficiently, it's a testament to their professional attitude and practice. I've had a total of 4 root canals done, 3 at other clinics and 1 at Dr. Kenneth's. My only regret is only hearing about them now, I would have gladly came in for all my root canals. I promptly switched my dental care to Presidio Dental. This is the only clinic I will ever consider in the future.

Wow, that was fun! [... isn't that odd to hear about a dental procedure?] Yesterday Dr. Karamyan completed my implant process---the final step was fabricating the porcelain crown now that the tissue around the implant was sound and healthy. He used scanning technology that calibrated the size and shape of the tooth, how it would fit in relation to my lower jaw, and then refined, adjusted and sculpted the graphic tooth until it looked just right and fit perfect. Then he printed it in porcelain on a 3D printer. He allowed me to follow the process every step of the way. Turned out great, fit just right. Dr. Karamyan is the first dentist in my long experience of problem teeth who gave me the time and the open-minded listening to really express my concerns. He is a very good listener. He considers alternatives, not just the obvious, highest-fee solution, so he is a first for me in that area.

I've been visits this office for the last month or two and it's been great! Dr. Karamyan had to repair one of my crowns that had popped out after a year or so (done by another dentist) the tooth was in bad shape. I was sensitive on that side of my face for the longest time but after he repaired it it's been fantastic! I trust his work and advice. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Karamyan is an excellent dentist. I had pretty much had my father, who recently retired from dentistry do all my dental work my whole life, except one time. I turn 40 in a couple months...so it's been a while...lol... In the one time I did have another dentist work on my teeth he made a mess. I was pleased with his professionalism and how he put me at ease right away. His office is very aesthetically relaxing. He plays ambient cool music ie: Buddha Lounge, Massive Attic... It felt more like a med spa as I starred at a breathtaking mural while he did a cleaning. My dad's office was very office feeling like, and when your nervous, this stuff helps. He uses very current technology and explains everything going with your dental needs. I had a basic x ray, cleaning and consult as well as a zoom whitening. I feel he is very straight forward and honest, unlike many dentists. I will be coming back for sure. Very pleasant dentist.

The best decision that I have ever made! For years I have wanted invisilign for my teeth that has relapsed over the years because of not wearing my retainers. I love this office. You will never find a nicer dentist or orthodontist like this one! He will take the time to know his patients and hear their concerns. I told him of my life and financial situation and he worked with me and in addition he asked me what I wanted to accomplish with treatment. What is even cooler is that he talked to me about his late at equipment used in the office for exceptional treatment for his patients. Best office ever! Don't be afraid to ask questions, this is truly his passion.

I came to this place with a dental emergency and they have been nothing but wonderful to me ever since. They made sure to give me a really deep cleaning that fixed my gum problems and set me on the path of recovering. Next time I came in, they didn't skimp on the cleaning either and made sure to tell me exactly what to do. I love the insurance plan and it is cheaper than other places. Especially considering the quality, the relaxing environment, the honest and hardworking staff. I am contacting them for my invisilign retainer even though I had it done elsewhere originally. One reviewer said this place is gumtastic, and I couldn't agree more!

I just came back from another cleaning. Dr. Karamyan was forthcoming about my dental hygiene and the steps needed to make sure that my dental hygiene remains remains top-notch, so to speak. Gumtastic! As a former dental professional... I can honestly say Presidio Dental is awesome! In my search for a dentist closer to my home, I scheduled an appointment easily and quickly. The office is lovely, spacious and clean...as it lends a very calming and serene atmosphere during your treatment. Beautiful views, quiet music and very comfortable chairs. I went in for a routine cleaning which went well and it was very thorough which included digital xrays. His assistant, Gina, was gentle and very nice. It turned out that I needed a filling, which Dr. Ken was able to do on the same day and he fit me in to his schedule. The work was reasonably priced, well done and Dr. Ken's touch is very gentle. I did not feel the injection which was fantastic considering it was a front tooth! Dr Ken is also amazing in that he is multi-skilled in performing all types of work...from general cosmetic dentistry to orthodontics to root canals and extractions too! I highly recommend this place! It is exceptionally clean, they are meticulous with following all the guidelines and they are very professional. There is ample free parking in this area and it is very easy to get to by car or bus. A++ luxury dentistry all the way!

I found Dr. Ken from an Invisalign coupon, but I've gotten more out of Presidio Dental than a good deal. I got a GREAT deal and a dentist I can really talk to! He works with me to grant amazing self-pay rates for dental work AND has great communication regarding my clear aligners, which begin next week! So far he has walked me through x-rays, fixing cavities, dental impressions, and viewing the three dimensional model of how my teeth will move. I feel like I'm in good hands because he gives me all the possible options--would you like to make your bite absolutely perfect, even if it takes another nine months?--and listens to my answers. He's a bit of a chatty Kathy, which isn't for everyone, but if you're in a rush just make sure he knows that when you schedule an hour-long appointment you actually have to be out the door at 3:00! Besides a few appointments running way over the estimated time, I have no complaints.
